Founded and Directed by creativity researcher Macu Moran, Imagery Spectrum is a complex of virtual architectures, offline projects and vision boards developed towards the comprehensive thrive of humanity, based on the study of our contemporary culture and the creation, development, and promotion of sustainable models for innovative industries in the digital era.
Macu Moran's interdisciplinary education has brought her to relate studies in the fields of economy, globalization, technology, sociology, innovation, ecology and art, and has been particularly interested in following theories on cultural identities, visual communication, new media, immaterial production, intellectual property rights, posthumanism, and biocentrism.Morán graduated in International Business at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, focusing her thesis on the Economic analysis on the "Philosophic, economic and commercial challenges for the art market in the XXI Century". Afterwards she continued her theoretical engagement with Art History bachelor's studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid as well as through her participation at the modules of Theory of Art and Criticism from the Master on Art Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid, the Fine art Appraisal, Content Curation and Digital Cataloging studies offered at the New York University, followed by the MA in New Media Arts organized by the MACBA Museum and Universidad Ramón Llull of Barcelona.
After working over a decade as Director of New Markets for artnet Worldwide Corporation in New York, her broad interest in Technology-based art, brought her to establish the pioneering VideoArtWorld organization, which created, set and promoted the protocols commonly accepted worldwide today, for the appropriate valuing, disseminating, collecting and preserving of digital immaterial creations. After this pioneering online platform for audiovisual, she created Imagery Dimension, as a worldwide network of innovative artists, giving them the option to publish their creations under the intellectual property rights licenses that best suit each creation, according to its particular medium, market, and scope.
Her experience as new media curator for Imagery Affairs started organizing the DiVA Digital Video Art Fairs of New York and Paris, followed by several editions of Barcelona Art Contemporary Festival (BAC!) and VIVA Collections on tour. In 2012 she joined the full curriculum of the 3rd Ward Academy in Brooklyn, New York, where she extended her knowledge in visual communication, computer design, digital architecture, smart apps, data visualization, branding, branded content, inbound marketing, copywriting, storytelling, documenting, briefing, advertising, creative strategies, communication plan, social media community management, customer services, what help her to co-create the digital community app guide Imagery Hamptons, consulting local business on creativity and communication.
Afterward, she moved to Hawaii where she started her studies on permaculture, ecology, and sustainability, followed by the intensive course of the Art Therapy Master of the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. Always interested in the holistic development of the individual, throughout her life she has also followed courses in herbal medicine, meditation, neurolinguistic programming, hypnotherapy, guided imagery, theta healing, and reiki. Alarmed by the contemporary need to reconnect humans within the natural cycle, she created a particular method reuniting ancient and modern techniques for raising consciousness under the title Imagery Healing.
Becoming a mother in 2014, she created the educative program Imagery School, towards the intellectual and creative development of children in harmony with nature, working as a teacher of art, languages, creative writing, computer graphics, and film history for different clients, including the Lamai International School of Koh Samui of Thailand. Here she developed the Imagery Residency program, in order to provide time and space for people interested in enhancing their creative abilities, with a curriculum covering ecosophy, visionary and land art, and various states of consciousness.
Since the passing of her mother in 2015, her art praxis goes under the pseudonym Macu Moma. As a media artist, she has researched into a number of creative mediums, including hand-processing color photography (ICP New York), 3D modeling & animation, video art, Arduino robotics, bio-art, and plastic art such as outsider drawings and watercolors, oil and acrylic painting, ceramics, metal, and wood work.
Conceptually she works under the premise that all material or immaterial imagery created becomes reality and affects it thereafter, digressing on the idea of Reality is the ultimate Artwork and Consciousness is the fundamental Creator of the physical universe, which has helped to coin concepts at the verge of art, science, and spirituality, such as the identification of Life as Energy, (LifE=mc2), Beauty as the purpose of Life (The Organic Code), and the transdisciplinary reflection on Life as the spirit of Time (The Imagery Revolution Manifesto).
She relocated to London in 2019, where she continued her professional career as Creative Strategist, Business Developer, PMP Project Manager and PROSCI Adoption and change manager for disruptive technologies, under the consulting services of Imagery Innovation. This vision board compiles relevant information about the different aspects of trading for which a creative approach is needed, especially relevant in the fast paced technologically-driven paradigm that contemporary society is in. It gathers the latest theories for ethical business management, as well as information about the upcoming sectors that will help to implement the necessary change that we need for a world sustainable coexistence.
In 2020 she started consulting for Microsoft supporting the rapid adoption of remote collaboration technologies needed during the pandemic, such as Microsoft Teams. In 2023 she was promoted to lead the introduction of refinement of Generative Artificial Intelligence for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, under the principles of Responsible and Ethic AI.
